About the Team

We’re a fast-growing, mission-driven health-tech startup with a team of clinicians and engineers dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes. As part of our engineering team, you’ll directly contribute to developing the core of our healthcare platform.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Contract Mid-Senior Full Stack Engineer to join us initially on a 3-month contract. If you’re the right fit for our team, we’d love for you to continue with extensions and a view to transition to a permanent role. You’ll be working 20-30 hours per week, depending on your rate, and play a key role in building the foundation of our software. You’ll closely collaborate with our CTO/Lead Developer and healthcare professionals to integrate real-time patient monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure features for our platform using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or Next.js.
• Develop secure APIs using Next.js routes or AWS Lambdas and API Gateway.
• Build native apps using Expo or React Native, and manage the publishing process through the Apple Developer portal and Google PlayConsole.
• Work with AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and deploy infrastructure with AWS CDK.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of real-time monitoring and patient data tools.
• Solve complex problems and design efficient, scalable solutions to meet platform demands.
• Work in a fast-paced, startup environment where the ability to pivot quickly and work independently is key.

The “Essentials”

• 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js and Next.js.
• Experience with building and securing APIs, cloud services, and native app development with Expo or React Native.
• Familiarity with AWS tools like Lambda, APIGateway, DynamoDB, and deploying via AWS CDK/SAM.
• Ability to hit the ground running, be self-sufficient, and pivot as priorities change.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The “Nice To Haves”

• Experience with Retool.
• Familiarity with compliances such as ISO27001, SOC2
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• A strong interest in healthcare technology and improving chronic care delivery.
